Disclaimer for Sauna Instructions (Please read
carefully)
Sauna
therapy can be dangerous and even deadly for
some people under some circumstances. Any
person considering sauna therapy must first seek
the advice of a licensed physician knowledgeable
about sauna therapy. and should also become
educated as to the proper use of sauna,
preparations for taking a sauna, and about
adjunctive therapies, as well as fully
understanding the risks involved.
Risks
include, but are not limited to, cardiac
failure, stroke, fainting, headache, nausea,
weakness, rashes, exacerbation of neurological
symptoms, and even death. Variables of treatment
such as temperature setting, duration of
treatment, proper hydration, electrolyte and
mineral balance and restoration must be properly
considered and heeded before proceeding with
sauna therapy.
The
following sauna instruction document represents
just one opinion about how to proceed with sauna
therapy. Other physicians may disagree. This
document is for informational and educational
purposes only, and is not a substitute for the
advice of a qualified physician.
If I am
a physician advising patients or clients in
their sauna therapy, I understand that I must
